About Us

Welcome to Kungälvs Camping and Bed & Breakfast, a small family-owned campground located just 20 minutes north of Gothenburg. We offer flexible and comfortable accommodations with 27 campsites for motorhomes, trailers, and tents, as well as 17 Bed & Breakfast rooms with views of the historic Bohus Fortress, dating back to the 14th century.

The building is an old elementary school dating back to 1881. At the time, it had only four classrooms and teacher housing. Unfortunately, the school burned down in 1899 but was rebuilt that same year according to the original plans and continued as an elementary school until the 1980s, when it was converted into a hostel.

Camping sites starting at 395 SEK/night and double rooms starting at 950 SEK/night.

Nearby attractions include Bohus Fortress, Liseberg (approx. 25 minutes), Marstrand (approx. 47 minutes), and Surtesjön swimming area (10 minutes)—something for all ages. At our campground, you’ll find a café and Marieberg Farm Shop—convenient for grabbing a barbecue for your camping trip or if you’re just passing through.
